Contemporary Ecofeminist Education (CEE) is a research-creation project convened by Jo Pollitt and Nancy Mauro-flude with a chorus of co-conspirators that interrogates ecofeminism for the twenty-first century. This is an emergent project that has had a soft launch of CEE nanocreds our first attempt at distilling vast volumes of knowledge into a series of spinerolling cirriculum onto asynchronous wooden stages, making visible the alignments of dance permacomputing poetics as relational embedded tactics for listening, making, thinking and feeling through 21st century ecofeminisms.
The research cohort of CEE asks: What role does the poetic and performative nature of ecofeminism play in fostering relational and embodied tactics for social and environmental transformation?
- There are certain approaches within ecofeminism (e.g., militant veganism, essentialism) that have been critiqued, how can the contemporary feminist movement continue to learn from these critiques, without being tokenistic, self righteous and divisive?
_Our commitment is to the quest to avoid reifying (glamorising) ecofeminist practices (i.e., women as earth godess) or perspectives so we can address the systemic issues of race, class and the violence of colonialism with candid veracity, that opens our a space for future literaces.

The hope is to develop a CEE repository. CEE explores around a variety of propositions, such as:
Some of the exploreations of CEE can be found on IG. The idea was about mutial aid and cooperative maintenanceof infrastrucutre that was feminist led in regard to information and shoring up our self-hosted infrastructure, our research wiki, and how to be involved with CEE.

The first phase of CEE was a close reading of 1992-1994 Course Readers complied by Patsy Hallen - together we asked what themes still resonate, and what is in need of rethinking, through collaborating with a diverse range of peers, from the Pacific Oceania region, including custodians and local knowledge holders. Which resulted in a net.art work lovingly hand coded by Nancy Mauro-FLude Performing Ecofeminisms. In the second phase we continued to apply our findings through respecting Indigenous Protocols to make True Tracks in our ongoing relations with a broad local community. The attempt to address the gaps outlined by Val Plumwood and seeks to ensure they are not perpetuated in contemporary ecofeminist discourse. Was an uneven passage and resulted in a presentation at 18th Biennial Conference on Communication and Environment. The actual presentation can be found here the COCE presentation is a summary of the findings from this phase.
